Directed by the G’Earls long-time friend Tom Krueger (who has previously worked with Dylan, Springsteen and U2), the video accompanies Streak O’Lean, Streak O’Fat, which is sung in Chinese!

James Taylor And Carole King Reunite

Jimcarolecrop James Taylor and Carole King will be helping L.A’s legendary Troubadour Club celebrate its 50th anniversary later this month. The leading lights of the early-’70s singer-songwriter scene are match fit (Taylor has a live hits album, One Man Band, out in December), and  proceeds from the show go to charity.

Not content with turning the recording industry inside out with their price tag-less new album In Rainbows, Radiohead have now got tongues wagging once again - this time it's all about the music. In their recent webisode, first broadcast on November 9 via Radiohead.tv, the band gave us a string of new performances which included this superb cover of The Smiths' The Headmaster Ritual.

MY BLOODY VALENTINE: NEW DATES ANNOUNCED!

My_bloody_valentine_2 Noiseniks unite! The news is now official: My Bloody Valentine will return for three live dates next summer. The gigs, set to take place in London, Manchester and Glasgow will be the band's first since 1992's Rollercoaster tour came to a close. The news follows Kevin Shields' earlier announcement that the band had been back in the studio, hard at work on new MBV material.

A post on the band's official site explained: "Jack and Meg recently recorded the new tracks with Beck, who co-produced all three tracks during a recording session in his living room and also contributed vocals and piano to It's My Fault For Being Famous and slide guitar on Honey, We Can't Afford To Look This Cheap".

Kate_bush A new Kate Bush track will appear on the soundtrack for the forthcoming fantasy movie epic The Golden Compass. Lyra will be available for download from December 12 and will feature a hearty contribution from Oxford's Magdalen College Choir. The song was written and produced by Bush in her home studio and is the first new material to appear since 2005's double-LP Aerial.

Now, the remaining members of the band are to play the  LP in its entirety during their forthcoming November/December 2007 UK tour. "This album meant too much, not only to us as a band, but to our fans as well, to let the 30th anniversary of its recording pass without celebrating it in some way", says guitarist Scott Graham.

Dion alone: Rock ’n’ roll legend returns

Dion_60s_2 Last night, in a scrappy venue at the north end of London’s Oxford Street, Robert Plant, Bobby Gillespie and The Coral crowded in with 200 young hipsters and old rockers to witness a very special gig, the return of doo-wop, blues and rock’n’roll legend Dion Di Mucci to UK shores. Andrew Male was down the front.
