Roger_daltrey_mojo_honours The Who have revealed that a new album is on the way. The band are currently writing new material for the follow-up to last year's Endless Wire. Speaking to The Rock Radio, Roger Daltrey revealed: "At the moment Pete's writing new material. I haven't heard anything. He's told me some of the ideas which sound really intriguing again, and as usual from Pete, it's never dull."

"It's always these wonderful kind of stories that go along with it [the songs]" added the singer. "It's always exciting when he talks about where he is and the spaces he's in when he's writing his music. I've always been of the opinion that he will write some of his best work when he's an older man, so I'm still living in hope." Stay tuned to MOJO for the latest Who updates.

- As previously reported, Radiohead have signed a deal with US label ATO Records Group and will release the cd version of their new album In Rainbows through the TBD imprint on January 1. In Rainbows hits the shelves in the UK on December 31.

- Smashing Pumpkins have announced a new UK tour, set to take place in early 2008.
