- The Coral trumped the notoriously popular Mark Ronson on the guest front last night, when their biggest fan Noel Gallagher joined them on stage at The Roundhouse in London. The Oasis man hit the stage for a rollicking version of James Skelly et al's In The Rain.

- The Shins have announced a small number of new UK dates. James Mercer and his Portland-based pals will play:

London Hammersmith Apollo (November 7)
Manchester Apollo (8)
Glasgow Barrowlands (9)

A new single from this year's Wincing The Night Away, Sealegs, is due for release on December 3.

- And the live shennanigans continue as Queens Of The Stone Age embark on a four-date UK tour in February. The band are set to release a digital EP, featuring Make It Wit Chu, on November 26.  The tour currently looks like this:

Edinburgh Corn Exchange (February 9)
Leeds University (10)
Hammersmith Apollo (11)
Southampton Guildhall (12)
