Verve For the past fortnight, The Verve have been rehearsing in a Stockport studio in preparation for their live return next month. Now, the band have expanded their comeback tour to include an extra date at Nottingham Arena on December 11.

- New York Magazine has published a rare interview with Levon Helm, in which the former Band sticksmith reveals the secrets behind his new album Dirt Farmer and how, following a treacherous battle with throat cancer, the Woodstock veteran managed to rediscover his voice. Read the article here.

- A new documentary charting the rise and fall of former Beach Boy/actual surfer Dennis Wilson, is to premiere online on November 5. Dennis Wilson Forever will be shown in two parts (40 minutes a-piece) on Flasher.com. The movie comes 24 years after Wilson - by then a chronic alcoholic - drowned off the Californian coast. If you can get your hands on a copy of his currently unavailable 1977 solo LP, Pacific Ocean Blue, then more power to you - it's excellent.

- Nirvana’s classic performance for MTV Unplugged will be available on DVD from November 20. It will include the tracks Something In The Way and Oh Me, which did not appear in the original broadcast, as well as previously unreleased footage of the band.
